A day in the studio.

Here are some small porcelain pieces. They are made from a porcelain that has a little bit of iron, so that they will flash in the wood fire. I like a few of them, some of them I'm not yet convinced of. I'll wait for tomorrow to see how I feel about them before I give any of them the elbow. It is raining right now, we are supposed to get 6 to 9" of snow tonight.

Really,, those were the ones that I was sitting on the fence about... better keep them around for another day for a second look.

I've almost crushed so many pieces and many of those have turned out to be favorites of others; later I was glad I went ahead and fired them, so if it was me I'd fire them all.

Linda: Thanks, I think 360 degrees eyesight is better than 20/20. I'm always amazed at how pots look different a day later.

Jim; Thanks, it's a real love/hate relationship. Whether I like a piece or not varies from day to day. They are a joy to make.!
