A pottery blog of the Anagama in New London Minnesota, and other thoughts of Craig Edwards on wood fired pottery
I have a question for you. What cone did you fire these snow pots at, and what clay were they made from?I'm interested in firing some bird baths that will handle freezing tempatres.Thanks.John Patrick,birdoasis.com
Hello John: They are wood fired to cone 10-12. The clay is Continental Clay Co. Fireclay Stoneware Clay body. It is vitreous at cone 10.
